Under the protocol signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and Lefke Municipality, as part of the Ministry’s work to bring a museum to every district, preparations for giving the Vasıf Palace building new life and returning it to tourism have been completed.
Following the contract signed between the relevant authorities, restoration work on the Vasıf Palace building will begin next week.
As a result of work begun around eight months ago under the agreement signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and Lefke Municipality to bring a museum to the Lefke region, the Department of Antiquities and Museums first prepared the restoration project for the building, which then went out to tender.
