The ''Acendu Fountain'', whose restoration has been completed under the ''Triggering Sustainable Development Action'' project, implemented within the ''Community Development Grant Scheme'' under the European Union Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot Community and carried out in cooperation between Lefke Municipality and the Lefke Tourism Association.

Acendu Fountain: A spring dating from the 15th–16th centuries, when Cyprus was under Venetian rule. Located east of the town, between the Lefke Stream and the slopes of Mount Lağuna, the spring is believed to have been discovered by a Venetian commander named Cento and named in his honour Aqua De Cento — “Cento’s water” — which over time came to be known locally as Acendu.
