The tender for the ''creation of walking trails in Lefke'', under the ''Triggering Sustainable Development Action'' project implemented within the ''Community Development Grant Scheme'' of the European Union Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot Community and carried out in cooperation between Lefke Municipality and the Lefke Tourism Association, has been concluded. A contract has been signed with the winning bidder, Boryap Yapı ve Ticaret Ltd.
Under the contract signed, two walking trails — one of 1.5 km and one of 10.5 km — are to be created within central Lefke, together with interpretation of all the natural, cultural and historic assets along the routes.
The trails will be completed and opened within two months, giving central Lefke a new walking route.
