In cooperation with the Civil Disaster Team Association, Lefke Municipality held forest fire response training for municipal staff.
The training gave participants theoretical and practical information on how to respond quickly and effectively to possible forest fires. It covered the correct use of firefighting equipment, safety precautions during a fire and the importance of coordination.
Lefke Municipality officials noted that fire risk rises as summer approaches, and said that training of this kind is of great importance both for raising staff awareness and for public safety.
Representatives of the Civil Disaster Team Association said that being prepared for disasters and increasing response capacity is possible through training carried out in cooperation with local authorities.
